Building on Momentum

I can feel the energy and the excitement building in me and from people who’ve been part of the process over the years or joining recently. The designs are moving along and it’s because of your support that I’m able to push these creative works forward. Thank you.

My List

  • Love & Rockets [4] — COMPLETED

2. Starfall Hard Zone [4]
3. Eye of the Magi [5]
4. Time & Tempus [5]
5. Legends of the Realm [6]
6. For the Panel [7]

2. Starfall Hard Zone: Scheduling the campaign play.

Map: Example of a Territory Map, David MK.

I’m working on revising content and will be scheduling playtesting soon.

3. Eye of the Magi: Need content creation and playtesting.

I’ve posted and am discussing the idea on the Discord channel. I’ve begun tweaking content and will schedule a playtest hopefully in a month or so as I need to review the rules again.

4. Time & Tempus: Need content revision and playtesting.

Workshopping Time & Tempus with the gaming design group from the Open Hearth Gaming community was extremely helpful. We had a lively discussion focused on the instructions and prompts. And it seemed that this design project helped others reconsider their own Descended from the Queen ideas. There are a number of things to ponder and test for both how effective and evocative the prompts are. I’m definitely going to change the end-card use and see where I can sharpen focus and push for questions from players and triangle entanglements with PCs. It’s exciting work ahead.

5. Legends of the Realm: Need content revision and playtesting.

Illustration found online.

I need to review where I left off and identify areas for revisions before I can schedule playtesting.

6. For the Panel: I will need to identify and contact a handful of convention guest manager types in the gaming industry to get feedback and then follow up with interviews.

I’m asking around in places to talk with people over Discord. I’ve shared the prototype with some people and have received excellent feedback. I will push this forward but in the background as time permits.

Next Steps

Now that my schedule is stable for the next three to four months I’ll be able to commit to playtesting designs and see what needs more focus or to be shelved. I look forward to sharing and discussing ideas together.
